Senior Angular Application Developer

London Computer Systems (LCS) is actively seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, detail-oriented software developer to fill our Senior Angular Application Developer role in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a vital part of our software development team, you will be an active technological expert, providing critical mentorship to our app developer team and helping to build solutions to improve our products’ design and implementation.

Responsibilities

1. Execute the Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
2. Support the software verification and validation processes, including but not limited to code reviews and unit testing.
3. Actively participate in agile methodologies.
4. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Stakeholders and Product Managers to iterate on the design and implementation of our products.
5. Design architectural technical requirements for projects.
6. Work with your team to understand priority and urgency and escalate blockers or delays.
7. Mentor and coach other software developers.
8. Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions.
9. Provide regular project status updates summarizing achieved milestones and short-term development projects goals.
10. Ensure software security by developing and enforcing coding standards, which mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Minimum of 3 years of software development experience required
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience required
3. Experience with front-end development required
4. Comfort with consuming APIs (REST, GraphQL)
5. Experience in at least one JavaScript framework such as Angular, Vue, React, or similar with a preference for experience in Angular
6. Experience working in a full-stack development environment, including experience writing REST or GraphQL APIs
7. Possess relational SQL database knowledge, including an understanding of query optimization and database design
8. Experience using modern object-oriented development in C# .NET Core
9. Experience using material design concepts
10. Ability to utilize existing frameworks, components, and designs, along with mockups and prototypes to implement functional UX
11. Ability to utilize prior experience to implement functional and technical specifications and offer suggestions and improvements
12. Ability to work both independently and in teams
13. Advanced ability to analyze issues and troubleshoot problems
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
15. Ability to examine complex functional requirements and turn them into technically sound solutions
16. Ability to anticipate technical challenges and non-functional requirements and communicate them effectively with team members and stakeholders
