Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a skilled Project Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Lafayette, IN. This role offers competitive pay and the chance to be part of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the analysis and specification of project methods, processes, and equipment to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
• Respond to RFIs on behalf of the Owner, facilitating review and approval of engineering equivalents, design modifications, and ensuring documentation compliance through audits of contractor staff.
• Develop and implement quality assurance plans for field installations, continuously auditing the construction site to accelerate pre-commissioning steps.
• Assist in drafting engineering standards and specifications, supporting the evaluation and improvement of those standards.
• Conduct inspections under supervision to assess the quality and integrity of installations or structures, providing recommendations for remedial actions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier activities, serving as the primary contact within the established contract management plan.
• Identify and address process inefficiencies using established change management programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
• Must have experience in pharmaceutical or lab construction and GMP practices.
• Strong field experience, including managing redline drawings, conducting inspections, and supporting pre-commissioning activities.
• Ability to climb ladders, lift over 30 lbs, and qualify for harness work.
• Proficiency in reading engineering specifications and drawings, including P&IDs, piping plans, sections, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings.
• Ability to manage safe systems of work independently and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Strong negotiation skills, capable of obtaining consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent reporting skills, with the ability to produce clear, effective reports.
• Strong risk management and budgeting skills, working independently to assess and mitigate risks.
