Civil Engineer

CIVIL ENGINEER

(Jamestown or Rochester Office) – Jamestown Preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete civil design calculations, modeling, and analysis
• Develop design drawings and contract specifications
• Prepare construction cost estimates and design narratives/engineering reports.
• Work with design team to complete multi-discipline design projects
• Supervises junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Leads (plan, schedule, and coordinates) civil engineering design effort for assigned projects.
• Routinely interacts with organization leaders, clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others. Thus, leads project meetings and makes presentations.

  REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  1. New York Professional Engineer (PE)
  2. Thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of civil engineering
  3. Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  4. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  5. Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  6. Experience with the following is a plus:
     1. Stormwater Management and Permitting
     2. Site Design, Parking Lots, Road Reconstruction
     3. Water Treatment Systems
     4. Water Supply, Distribution, and Storage
     5. Sanitary Sewer Collection and Storage
     6. Pumping Stations (Water, Sewer, & Storm)
     7. Steam Systems
     8. UST, AST & Fueling Systems
     9. Retaining Walls
     10. Ramps & Accessibility
  7. Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus
  8. Experience with Autodesk SSA, HydroCAD, and/or EPANET is a plus.
  9. Will consider experienced EIT
