Senior Distribution Engineer

b19 Consulting is working with an established power delivery company to find a Distribution Engineer that comes from an electric utility background.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years utility distribution design experience (OH or UG)
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong communication skills to co-ordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel & Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years electrical utility distribution design experience
• Supervisory experience, leading teams of distribution engineers & designers
• PE License or working towards
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (2016 or newer) software
• Proficiency with MicroStation (V8 or newer).
• Experience with Maximo software
• Experience with Pole Foreman software
• Overhead and underground line design experience
• Overhead and underground fiber design experience
• Understanding of GIS and conceptual distribution layout
• Utilization of distribution design experience to construct & determine routes for natural gas & electrical distribution lines
• Ability to adhere to NESC & client requirements
• Ability to work amongst a team to deliver projects on-time and within budget
