As part of a $17.6B international food and ingredients corporation, our client's Wisconsin facility specializes in developing and producing high-quality specialty food ingredients, holding the position as the third-largest producer in their market segment worldwide.
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to take ownership of facility-wide electrical systems and automation in a dynamic food manufacturing environment? Our client seeks a talented professional to serve as their dedicated Subject Matter Expert for all electrical systems, controls, and automation technologies.

Essential Responsibilities
- Serve as the facility's subject matter expert for all electrical systems and controls
- Manage and optimize production systems, including hardware, software, and networks
- Build and maintain a comprehensive database of plant electrical and control equipment
- Lead installation, programming, and repairs of control and measurement systems
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Production, IT, and HSE teams
- Support and train maintenance staff in automation systems
- Manage third-party contractors for engineering support and modifications
- Drive energy efficiency initiatives while maintaining product safety standards
- Create and implement risk assessments for new projects
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated expertise in industrial control systems
- Experience with both low and high voltage device troubleshooting
- Project management experience
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends

- Flexible working hours
- Limited weekend work required (can be flexed during the week)
- No regular travel requirements
