TruU, Inc. is seeking a skilled macOS Developer to join our distributed team. As a macOS Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of identity verification and security software for the macOS platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement major features and releases, ensuring a seamless user experience and robust security measures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with a distributed team to implement identity verification and security software on the macOS platform.
  2. Develop major features, including UI enhancements and integration with lower-level macOS security features.
  3. Engage in the code review process, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
  4. Work with internal teams to identify architectural possibilities and enhance the scalability and performance of the software.
  5. Triage and address issues reported by customers, providing timely resolutions and delivering exceptional support.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the software development lifecycle.
  7. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance our solutions.
  8. Provide technical guidance in macOS development.
  9. Contribute to project planning, execution, and delivery.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on macOS applications.
  3. Knowledge of macOS security concepts, including Open Directory, CryptoTokenKit, and Keychain frameworks.
  4. Strong understanding of macOS platform architecture and internals.
  5. Experience working with Filevault.
  6. Understanding of common design patterns and software architecture principles.
  7. Experience with the Swift programming language.
  8. Knowledgeable about memory management, multithreading, and networking in macOS environments.
  9. Experience working collaboratively in distributed teams to ship major features and releases.
  10. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members in remote settings.
  11. Approachable and easy to work with, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

  1. Knowledge of JAMF/MDM (Mobile Device Management) concepts and implementation.
  2. Experience with directory services such as Azure or Okta.
  3. Familiarity with FIDO2 authentication standards.
  4. Experience with certificate authorities (CA) and certificate management.
  5. Experience with SwiftUI for developing modern and intuitive user interfaces.
  6. Familiarity with Authorization plugins.
