Data Acquisition Engineer (Night Shift)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize/provide data acquisition and instrumentation training/support to new/junior employees.
- Regularly report project status to assigned PM.
- Organize and maintain the sensor inventory/database and new equipment procurement.
- Organize and maintain the load/motion control and data acquisition controllers.
- Manage projects to complete tasks within budget and on-schedule.
- Ensure ISO 9000 standards and policies are adhered to.
- Stay current on latest technologies as it relates to Electrical Metering and Data Acquisition products.
- Review and recommend changes to all systems, policies, and procedures as needed to enhance the mission of the organization.
- Configure and conduct testing with MTS Load control and data acquisition Hardware and Software for structural test programs (training in this area can be accommodated during onboarding).
The ideal candidate will need:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable.
- 2-5 years of experience in Research & Development or Test & Evaluation environment.
- Prior experience developing load control and data acquisition hardware/software for endurance simulation, or static/dynamic load application.
- The ideal candidate can demonstrate proficiency in one or all of the following:
- MTS Load control and data acquisition Hardware and Software.
- LabView - developing, testing and debugging software programs using LabView; should be up to date with latest version of LabView.
- Macros, Recipes, and scripts for use with LabView in performing automatic test functions.
- Microsoft Office Professional in particular Word, Excel, and Access.
- Technical concepts relating to Instrumentation, Data Acquisition, Signal Conditioning & Sensors.
- Electrical / Software troubleshooting skills.
- Instrument communication protocols like RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, GPIB, USB, etc.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to work night shift.
