This role requires an individual with a comprehensive understanding of control theory, system architecture, and hands-on experience with real-time control systems to drive innovative solutions.

The Senior Control Systems Engineer will champion the design, development, and optimization of advanced control systems for a diversified range of projects, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and client needs.

Focus:

  • Draft Electrical Diagrams leveraging AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Design, develop, and oversee PLC, Advanced Motion, and HMI Programs tailored to project needs and client specifications.
  • Formulate new Standard Electrical Design blueprints and adapt existing ones.
  • Actively engage in the Panel Construction phase, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Incorporate Vision Systems for various applications, including Orientation and Feature Recognition.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of control systems.
  • Analyze client requirements in-depth, translating them into actionable project plans and strategies.
  • Travel occasionally to client sites for system setups, installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and global electrical and control system regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in control systems engineering.
  • Evaluate the performance and reliability of existing control systems and recommend improvements or optimizations.
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new components or technologies.
  • Conduct training sessions for junior engineers and technicians on control system design and best practices.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in control systems design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming, and HMI design.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the capability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements and installations.
  • Experience with safety protocols related to control systems, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and PROFIBUS.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
