The RF Product Engineer will be supporting the production of integrated RF/microwave and antenna products, from material acquisition through shipment, mainly focused on technical compliance and production efficiency of integrated RF/microwave electronic assemblies; assist in the electrical aspects of product design evolution and overall production line productivity.

Responsibilities:

1. Problem solve production issues related to electrical, mechanical, materials, and manufacturing aspects in a high product mix production environment.
2. Assist in the reverse engineering, redesign, and design optimization of RF and antenna products including circuit analysis and simulation, component, material, and process selection, PCB layout and mechanical packaging.
3. Perform and coordinate engineering support to maintain an operational production line; monitor key performance metrics such as yield, rework, waste, and labor to optimize yield, cost, throughput, and quality.
4. Perform technical analysis and feasibility studies for product design updates, new product introduction, and production proposals, including generating production readiness assessments and cost/technical proposals.
5. Evaluate specifications and product design targets including customer requirements, testing procedures, and drawing packages.
6. Act as a Technical Product Line Manager, exhibiting ownership of full production life cycle from material procurement to shipment, including interfacing with executive leadership and end customers.
7. Work closely with the broader Engineering team and factory personnel to bridge the gap between the theoretical design world and the real-world to produce high performance products with reasonable production margin.
8. Team up with technicians and assemblers on test, tune, and debug of RF products to optimize performance.
9. Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workspace.
10. Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

1. Bachelor's degree in a Technical Field such as Engineering (BSEE, BSME, Industrial Engineering, Physics).
2. Three (3) years of working in an RF-product design or RF production environment.
3. Experienced in working in a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows-like interface including MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) at an advanced level.
4. Familiarity with Engineering CAE/CAD tools such as LabView, AutoCAD, Cadence MWO, and Keysight ADS.
5. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
6. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Preferred:

1. Five (5) to Eight (8+) years experience.
2. Masters Degree in a Technical Field.
3. Active Security Clearance.
4. Background in Defense Industry.
5. Communication skills: ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend complex written technical publications; communicate quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities.
6. Computer skills: Proficiency with EM simulation tools such as HFSS or equivalent.
7. Math & Analytical skills: advanced mathematical skills, including statistical analysis; review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities; ability to collect, analyze and summarize information to a general understanding; ability to think abstractly and separate complex ideas into simple elements.

Salary Range: Senior RF Engineer: $101,194.93 - $151,792.39. Principal RF Engineer: $131,320.98 - $203,254.00. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
