Candidate Requirements:
This role is open ONLY to US Citizens as all candidates must be eligible for secret security clearance (clearance requires US Citizenship). Please note, clearance isn't required to start (only eligibility). JOB TITLE: Electronics & Lethality Hardware Engineer
JOB LOCATION: Sterling Heights, MI (100% onsite, hand's on role)
JOB TYPE: Long-term contract
SALARY RANGE : $80-120K based on experience level (tiered for years of experience)
JOB SKILL SPECIALTY: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering (BSCE), Mechatronics, Robotics (Non-negotiable), 2+ years of experience
Responsibilities:
Design and develop hardware systems for US Military Vehicles, focusing on electronics and lethality aspects. Utilize core skills such as manufacturing, Python, and system design to create robust hardware solutions.Implement premium skills like FPGA and PCB design for enhanced performance and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware components effectively. Conduct root cause analysis and debugging to ensure hardware functionality meets stringent requirements. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in hardware design.
  • Position Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering (BSCE), Mechatronics, Robotics or related degree program
  • 2+ years of relevant experience on up
  • Ability to use Engineering Development and Test Tools.
  • Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to interact with senior external personnel on tech matters
  • Aware of and directs activities towards completion of major program goals
  • Ability to travel to supplier and government sites as needed
Knowledge in many, but not all, of the following areas desired
  • IPC and MIL standards
  • Digital and Analog circuit design
  • Gyroscopes, Encoders, and Cameras
  • Development of component/subsystem requirements
  • Model-based Motion Control
  • PWM and PID
  • Test Equipment (Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, DACs)
  • Power, thermal analysis, timing, biasing, voltage and current control, LED control, data packet deciphering, etc.
  • Schematic development, component selection, circuit simulation, and PCB layout
  • Engineering design, development, and analysis software
  • Servo Control experience
  • MATLAB Simulink Control experience , MATHCAD, Mentor Graphics Schematic Capture, CAMView or CAM350
  • Microprocessor based products including processors, chipsets, memory and bus interfaces, networking standards (PCI-xpress, DDR2, DDR3, USB, SATA, DVI, etc...)
  • Microcontrollers including IDEs, configuration, coding, programming and NXP family of microcontrollers
  • Industry interface standards and form factors (VITA42/46, COM Express, ETX, etc.)
  • Serial Interconnects, USB, CAN, RS422/485, etc.)
  • Graphics/video interfaces (SDI, DVI, HDMI, RS-170, etc.)
  • EMI/EMC design practices and standards.
  • C, C#, VisualStudio Suite
