Security is the #1 concern for customers moving to the cloud, and AWS is dedicated to providing security features our customers need, at scale. The AWS Credentials Distribution team is building and delivering the next generation of cloud computing security that supports the public AWS offerings like EC2, S3 and DynamoDB. We are innovating new ways of building massively scalable, distributed security systems involving secrets and credentials management and secure distribution.

We are currently looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is excited about the incredible opportunity that cloud computing represents. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside outstanding engineers and leaders, refine product requirements with product and program managers, define architecture, and be a leader in the implementation and launch of software. All team members actively participate in technical architecture review, iterative development, code review, and operations.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

1. Design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of innovative software solutions to deliver new features in security, durability and availability.
2. Use software engineering best practices to ensure the standard of quality of all team deliverables.
3. Build and implement high quality distributed system software.
4. Work in an agile development environment prioritizing most important and impactful projects.

Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
