Job Description
FedGeek is seeking a dynamic individual to be a part of a software development team to provide technical development, guidance and support to a suite of web-based financial applications. You will generally be responsible for the following:
- Analyze and implement software requirements with web technologies to include ASP.Net, VB.Net, ADO.NET, HTML, JavaScript within an MS Windows environment.
- Design, develop, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determine computer user needs, analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls, prepare operating instructions, design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Debug application and propose feasible solutions in a timely manner.
- Provide technical solutions that are compliant with software and compliance standards and requirements.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
- Coordinate software system installations and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
- Write technical documentation SOPs that support the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years hands-on programming experience with ASP.Net, VB.Net, ADO.NET, HTML, JavaScript.
- Web and GUI development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with SQL Server and other databases.
- Education: BS Degree in a Technical discipline (Comp Sci, Information Technology).
- Citizenship: US Citizenship Required.
- Certifications: 8570 IAT Level II Compliance (Security+) Certification.
- Clearance: Current TS/SCI with CI Polygraph or TS with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS SQL Server Analysis Services.
- Experience using MS Visual Studio/TFS.
- Self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, offers clear and concise recommendations.
