About the Company - We are delighted to be partnered with a leading clean energy company that are looking for a Process Engineer to join their team.


About the Role - The Process Engineer will work closely with development and EPC teams during early-stage, pre-FID projects to provide due diligence measures and recommendations for completing the project and bringing it through to commissioning.


Responsibilities


  • Work closely with Analysts to evaluate and optimizing the most efficient IRR for the project while making recommendations.
  • Conduct Mass and Energy (M&E) balance during due diligence, pre-FID project stages and update the M&E balance based on various technology packages as the project evolves. Publish the final M&E balance for construction.
  • Draft process block flow diagram (BFD) and populate the flowrates, sizing, and capacity of various equipment and measures, including but not limited to mixers, volume of anaerobic digesters, slump volumes, process water, or potable water consumption, biogas production, waste gas, dewatered solids, and required thermal energy.
  • Define input and output parameters, performance, and conversion efficiencies. Define performance expectations of the systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure that the purchase orders include performance expectations of design.
  • Create the overall project integrated process flow diagram that includes all pumps, blowers, mixers, compressors, instrumentation and controls, valves (actuated and manual), motors, ventilation, pick up points, and system boundaries.
  • Integrate the overall site-wide process and instrumentation diagram, clearly indicating the controls structure, MCC and motor interferes, detail specifications around all instrumentation, etc.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and 5 years of related engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Project.
  • Advanced analytical skills to address problems, identify root causes, and generate potential solutions.
