The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and updating content with a focus on learning experiences to address company and client needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Be able to articulate and lead the instructional design process.

  4. Support client administrative tasks as assigned.
  5. Design and develop content and learning experiences for a variety of audiences and delivery methods including instructor-led and digital delivery.
  6. Work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  8. Be a learning advisor to our customers both internal and external.
  9. Be able to articulate what the learner’s (customer) experience means to you as a designer.
  10. Own and grow your professional self.

  13. Be able to articulate what constitutes a quality learning product.
  14. Update and revise products as necessary to maintain currency.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Knowledge of various and current learning approaches.
  2. Application of instructional design and principles of adult learning.
  3. Strong technical and creative writing skills.
  4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Creative problem-solving skills.
  6. Organizational and planning skills.
  7. Ability to work independently or with little direction, when required.
  8. Strong computer skills, including Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  9. Familiarity with Content Management Systems is a plus.
  10. Knowledge of web conferencing platforms and digital authoring tools is a plus.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s with specialization in instructional design, adult education, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. Formal training in instructional design is required.
  3. 2-3 years of experience designing and developing participant-centered, applied learning solutions.
  4. Experience using learning technology tools and applications is a plus, as well as Kirkpatrick Level III.

Position will be onsite at client location and must be willing to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
