PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled FPGA Design and Verification Engineer to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace leader in Orlando, FL. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
An Aerospace Leader is seeking an experienced FPGA design and verification engineer. The candidate must have both design and verification experience, including hardware integration.
This is a backfill position to pick up existing tasks from another FPGA engineer, which requires the candidate's ability to learn and support existing design quickly.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing, designing, verifying, and documenting Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) development.
- Determining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Analyzing all aspects from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power utilization.
- Using specialized equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Supporting circuit card designers with trade studies.
- Developing and releasing design requirement specifications for products.
- Supporting production environments in debugging and troubleshooting FPGA-related issues.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- US Citizenship.
- Strong understanding and experience in FPGA design and verification.
- Familiarity with UVM and System Verilog.
- Experience integrating FPGA solutions on hardware and design validation, including simulation validation.
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret Clearance.
Desired:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Matlab / Simulink FPGA design (HDLCoder / SystemGenerator) or High-Level Synthesis (HLS) design experience is a plus.
