Job Description
General Overview:
The Principle Engineer, Metallurgy is responsible for determining the essential fabrication requirements for the selected materials, which include forging requirements, welding requirements, heat treat requirements, corrosion testing requirements and nondestructive testing requirements.
Division Specifics for this Position:
Responsibilities of all Engineer, Metallurgy:
? Develop and review material selection for projects
? Review customer specifications, drawings for proper implementation of the material requirements.
? Review the inspection plans for equipment with special material requirements
? Coordinate projects to solve problems related to material processing, coating, and heat treatment issues.
? Oversee titanium processing including melting, forging, machining, etc. with vendors in conjunction with procurement and
project management
? Coordinate and review material testing
? Assist with any deviated material and concession requests
? Analyze data and develop plan to determine the optimum solution or recommend actions
? Analyze and recommend solutions or test programs for customer or supplier issues
? Work with Supply Chain in the identification and qualification of materials related vendors
? Perform other duties as assigned
Availability requirements of all Principle Engineer, Metallurgy:
? Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, or otherwise agreed. Occasional needed based on current project and customer requirements.

Work Environment/Conditions (list chemicals, allergen, noise, heights, etc.):
? This position will require working primarily indoors in a smoke-free office and manufacturing facility but may also require
the employee to be outdoors on occasion.
? Limited travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects.
