Job Title: CNC ProgrammerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will program laser equipment using nesting software, update routings for machined components, and identify new process steps to improve efficiency. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the highest quality and productivity in the machine shop.ResponsibilitiesProgram the laser equipment using nesting software.Update routings for changes made to machined components as well as new components.Identify new process steps to flatten or shorten route steps and BOM requirements.Determine routings based on engineering drawings and specifications.Evaluate engineering drawings with engineering software.Program and nest laser parts using nest software.Explore and develop new approaches and processes to increase quality and productivity in the machine shop.Analyze blueprints to calculate correct part dimensions for tool selection, speeds, and feed rates.Ensure proper tooling and fixtures are ordered and available for production.Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts meet quantity and quality requirements.Suggest and/or collaborate on design improvements or alternative methods with managers and/or design engineers.Verify the accuracy of engineering information for manufacturing.Problem-solve and communicate effectively with the work team.Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes.Essential SkillsCNC programming experience, especially with TruBoost programming language.Experience with CNC lasers.Ability to read blueprints designed in Inventor or AutoCAD.1+ years of experience in programming.Ability to work autonomously, hands-on, and adapt to shifting project focus and priorities.Additional Skills & QualificationsRelated associate's degree.Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus.Hands-on experience and knowledge of machining, fabricating, welding, and finishing of metals.Experience in vessel or trailer design is a plus.Work EnvironmentYou will work in a brand-new 100,000 sq. ft. facility, which will be fully operational starting January 1st, 2025. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and processes, including multiple CNC lasers, press brakes, and pipe benders. The design team is relatively quiet, while the mechanical engineering team is more outgoing and integrates well with both office and shop employees.
