Production Control Engineer I

The Production Control Engineer role is responsible for providing Engineering support to the Production Control and Purchasing teams to drive on-time delivery and overall performance of new and existing awards.

Reporting Structure

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Facilitate coordination between cross-functional teams at the direction of the Supply Chain Manager and Production Control Supervisor.
2. Provide tactical Engineering support to the Production Control department, with an emphasis on on-time delivery, efficiency, and profitability.
3. Provide direct support to the Process Improvement Team to ensure timely resolutions of production issues.
4. Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve lead time.
5. Liaison with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production-related issues quickly and effectively.
6. Engage with suppliers to resolve Engineering-related issues/questions in a timely manner.
7. Support Production Control activities, as required.
8. Identify opportunities and/or participate in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

1. Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
2. High Energy, self-motivated, self-starter, team player, and willingness to learn.
3. Assertive, clear, and precise communication with internal customers and coworkers is a must.
4. Hands-on approach. Willing to "touch" parts to ensure execution.
5. Must have time management skills and the ability to organize and optimize work.
6. Experience in some form of project or program management, customer service, production control, or account management desired.
7. +1 year of experience preparing status updates, line of balance reports, progress updates, and basic industrialization plans desired.
8. BS in an Engineering field from an accredited institution or +3 years of progressive experience and proved accomplishments in the aerospace industry servicing major OEM customers.
9. Must be able, capable, and willing to troubleshoot and do problem-solving to improve customer experience.
10. Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experienced utilizing dynamic tables, advanced search formulas, etc. / MS Project is Plus.
