GIS Architect/Solutions Engineer

Innovate! Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its geospatial solutions team as a GIS Architect/Solutions Engineer. You may be called upon to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of geospatial applications through the concept, design, and implementation phases. Your role will also include supporting other personnel in utilizing GIS applications and software as well as interfacing with clients and teaming partners.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Twelve (12) or more years’ experience designing complex architectures and IT applications with at least 10 years’ experience working with geospatial data.
WORK ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Provide guidance and structure for designing, implementing, and maintaining geospatial system infrastructure; bring best practice architecture design for GIS IT frameworks.
- Previous experience as a development lead or significant development team member especially with geospatial applications.
- Develops potential system hardware specifications and documentation.
- Coordinates with systems Lead to coordinate plans and efforts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to interface with various subject matter experts.
- Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of GIS data infrastructure, systems architecture, systems integration, and GIS applications.
- Serves as Contractors technical expert on GIS projects.
EDUCATION
Master's Degree or higher (or Bachelor’s degree with additional years of experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline is required.
