SALARY RANGE : $95,000 - $135,000

FLSA STATUS : Exempt

SUMMARY

Edge Autonomy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aero/Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design, analysis, and manufacturing of composite structures. This role requires a deep understanding of the entire design process, from initial concept to part completion, and the ability to work with advanced materials and manufacturing techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
  • Strong experience with both manual and automated testing, particularly in embedded systems or autopilot software.
  • Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis, particularly in software-related system failures.
  • Proficiency with QA tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
  • Strong understanding of SQA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
  • Experience in testing embedded systems, autopilot software, or complex software systems used in uncrewed systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with a focus on autopilot and embedded systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team of testers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively, particularly in the context of autopilot software and incident investigations.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
