OPEN RANK - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND ABET COORDINATOR

The University of St. Thomas (UST), a private Catholic university committed to the liberal arts and the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education, invites applications from outstanding candidates for a full-time, tenure/tenure-track position in mechanical engineering and ABET coordinator. The start date for the position is August 2025.

General Responsibilities:

1. Teaching undergraduate lectures and laboratory courses.
2. Developing a research program involving and suited for undergraduate student participation.
3. Service activities as needed by the department and the university.
4. Strong organizational skills.
5. Obtain and maintain compliance with professional accreditations (ABET).

Requirements:

1. A Ph.D. in mechanical engineering.
2. Excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
3. A commitment to the university's mission.
4. Industry experience and a PE license preferred.
5. Experience with ABET accreditation.
