Job Requirements / Description

Assists Project Managers to support designated projects by performing the following duties. Highly focused on ensuring ABW project team tasks and documentation meet customer requirements and ABW QA/QC program requirements.
Essential duties:

  • Prepares production related documents as directed by the Project Manager
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop innovative solutions
  • Review and provide feedback on design drawings and specifications
  • Ensure design outputs meet project requirements and are feasible for implementation
  • Assist in the development of prototypes and models for design validation
  • Assists in the development of shop drawings
  • Sources material and procures it appropriately from drawings or material lists as directed by the Project Manager
  • Retrieves completed production documents and reviews for completeness
  • Compiles final document packages
  • Examines documents such as blueprints, drawings, change orders and specifications to verify completeness
  • Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents
  • Posts changes to computerized or manual records, releases documents or coordinates with Document Control, and notifies affected departments
  • Assists Project Managers in the maintenance of project-related files
  • Develops and assists with the development of travelers
  • Procedures - Development & compliance review
  • Document Control - Internal & External
  • Purchase Orders - Development & Compliance review
  • Update Schedules
  • Final Data Package - Compilation and review
Other duties may be assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software for generating fabrication instructions, toolpath programming, and quality control documentation.(
  • Understanding of materials science, metallurgy, and non-destructive testing techniques relevant to aerospace, space, and nuclear applications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.
