Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with product owners and other application developers to design, code, and maintain high quality, cloud-based applications against established processes in a scrum team setting.
2. Work with software teams to ensure alignment of architecture to user requirements.
3. Occasionally provide technical assistance to escalated production issues.
4. Maintain awareness of industry trends and evaluate applicability of new software technologies to platform development efforts.

Requirements

1. Extensive knowledge and experience with C#, Java Core, or similar.
2. Development Experience with Java based frameworks such as Spring, Spring boot, Hibernate, RabbitMq.
3. Deep understanding of SOA, web security architecture, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and other architectural patterns.
4. Experience with client-side MVC Frameworks (i.e., AngularJS, KnockoutJS) is a plus.
5. Proficient with source control management repositories (such as GIT, SVN, etc.) and CM practices.
6. Extensive experience writing high quality unit tests against mock objects.
7. Good understanding of object oriented analysis and design.
8. Experience with data persistence technologies (such as RDBMS, NoSQL databases, ElasticSearch) is a plus.
9. Demonstrated success in collaborating in a fast-paced team environment and delivering high-quality software products using established agile development methodologies (such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.) against formal schedules.
10. Experience with Nextflow development experience is a plus.
11. Experience with building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins is a plus.
12. Development experience with Python programming language is a plus.

2. Possess proven troubleshooting skills.

The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Software Engineer role based in the United States of America is: $126,800 - $190,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
