Do you want to work on a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Software Development Engineers, and others to solve AWS’s most complex business problems through data?

We’re looking for someone who possesses a solid BI engineering background, familiar with maintaining large data sets, building the datasets needed for analyzing information, identifying key business insights, and working with stakeholders in generating the right metrics to define and measure success. In this role, you will be a technical expert with significant scope and impact. You will work with Sales Ops Leaders, Product Managers, and other business users to understand the business requirements, develop telemetry service, and implement reporting solutions. The individual must have the ability to earn trust and communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business verticals in a global organization. Candidates should possess a keen sense of ownership, collaboration, and desire to learn. Above all, the candidate should be passionate about bringing large datasets together to answer business questions and drive change.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Architect and develop scalable and resilient data solutions for real-time and batch processing, enabling self-service business intelligence for analytics users.
  2. Build ETL pipelines, statistical models, and machine learning solutions using large, multidimensional datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  3. Partner with business owners, tech, and central teams to integrate machine learning, generative AI, and automation into scaling our programs and processes.
  4. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand strategies, goals, and objectives, and align the analytics roadmap accordingly.
  5. Design and implement end-to-end reporting solutions, metrics, dashboards, and automated processes to drive key business decisions and track progress.
  6. Perform complex analysis to inform product strategy, design, and business priorities, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  7. Continuously improve reporting and processes, automating and scaling solutions while ensuring stability and performance.
  8. Identify opportunities for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to enhance targeting, measurement, and overall product capabilities.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, contributing to the team's evolution through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 10+ years of professional or military experience
  2. 5+ years of SQL experience
  3. Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  4. Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
  5. Experience with AWS technologies
  6. Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills.
  7. Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
  2. Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
  3. Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
  4. Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc.
  5. Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.
