Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the site Process Safety Management program to deliver 100% compliance.
- Identification and implementation of opportunities within the PSM program to minimize risk over and above compliance requirements.
- Partnering with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and RTX EH&S Standard Practices.
- Prepare and manage documentation relating to environmental policies in preparation for audits.
- Lead projects to meet or exceed EH&S goals.
- Provide proper documentation in preparation for permits and liaising with governmental bodies.
- Manage consultants hired to assist with EH&S compliance.
- Achieves and maintains consistency of environmental record keeping and documentation in accordance with regulatory and corporate policies.
- Act as a PSM technical resource for the site and provide training and support as required.
- Assist with establishment of local EHS Management Systems that are aligned with the company EHS Management System.
- Identification of health & safety hazards and controls to mitigate risks.
- Deployment of corporate-wide programs, risk mitigation and injury prevention initiatives.
- Provide timely information and guidance for the General Manager, Site EHS Manager and the site EH&S council and Sub-Committees.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic action plans to achieve a hazard-free workplace.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Engineering from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).
- 10+ years of Engineering experience, or 7+ years with an advanced degree.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Previous experience in manufacturing settings, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- At least 3 years previous experience leading Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS or Advanced Degree in relevant fields.
- Proven strong communication, strategic leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the drive to achieve full compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership in EHS compliance and employee engagement.
- Experience working with consultants and lawyers to achieve goals.
Travel: 10% annually
Salary Range: 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD
