Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
- Service Now trouble ticket management experience
- BIRT (Business and Intelligence Reporting Tools) experience preferred, but not required
- Prior experience with Maximo preferred, but not required
- Strong oral & written communication and customer service skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively with others (IT and business partners)
- Dive into the details of business processes in different business/operations environments
Position Description:
This Senior Applications Systems Engineer position is part of a small team supporting a large and complex deployment of IBM’s Maximo enterprise asset management product. The key responsibilities of this role span all aspects of managing the platform and service to the community, including:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Primary person for end-user support.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues and requests in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the team’s knowledge repositories to ensure operational support knowledge is captured and shared.
- Provide rotating 24/7 on-call support (1 week out of 10).
- Collaborate to continuously improve processes, policies, and procedures.
- May provide training to clients/staff as needed.
- Support incremental functionality being developed and added to the platform.
- Actively participate in business analysis, requirements identification sessions, and support testing activities.

Work Format:
Hybrid (partially on-site, partially remote). While this position is partially remote, travel to campus may be necessary based on business needs.
