Director of DevOps

Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of DevOps including development, QA, automation, and culture.
2. Assist team members with building, hosting, and deploying cloud-based applications.
3. Collaborate with team members to define architecture and optimize performance.
4. Oversee migration of remaining internally-hosted applications to AWS.
5. Lead technical evaluation of new technologies and tools.
6. Serve as a liaison between DevOps teams, senior leadership team, and vendors.
7. Build a culture of learning where it’s safe to fail, fail fast, learn from it, and improve.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. BS or MS in Computer Science or related field and 10+ years experience.
2. Extensive experience of Linux administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
3. Strong programming ability in at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc).
4. 5+ years experience with a major orchestration technology (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc).
5. 3+ years experience with Amazon Web Services.
6. Strong faith in Jesus Christ.
7. Championing Seed Company's Core Values, Mission and Vision.
8. Demonstrated experience in leadership as well as management or supervision.
