Role: Java Developer
Location: San Jose, CA (Locals Only)

Job Description:

Required Qualifications:

1. 5+ years software development experience
2. BS in Computer Science or related degree required; MS preferred
3. Experience in developing high performance, scalable and highly available web services using J2EE and frameworks such as RESTEasy and Jersey
4. Comfortable using application server frameworks, for example Tomcat & JBOSS
5. Knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns, and programming skills
6. Experience in designing, developing and delivering software and/or platforms for use by other developers
7. Strong advocate of good coding standards and use of coding tools that improve delivered code like Sonar
8. Good at identifying performance bottlenecks and using good coding patterns to avoid them
9. Good understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/OAuth/JSON and SOAP/WSDL
10. Excellent knowledge of programming languages, especially Java
11. Proficiency with at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, Unix Shell Script etc.)
12. Knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL
13. Excellent communication and writing skills

Desired Skills:

1. Familiarity with Java/J2EE Technologies like JDBC, JSP, Spring MVC, JSTL, Struts, Hibernate, SOAP, RESTful
2. Familiarity with GIT, Mock, Continuous Integration systems (Hudson/Jenkins) & Bug Tracking (Jira) tools
3. Proficiency with XML/XSL frameworks
4. Experience with using Agile/Scrum methodology for software development
