Job Summary

We're looking for a VP, Software Engineering, Foodbuy Procurement Systems to lead the core business applications for the Foodbuy procurement organization within Compass technology in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will have the ability to impact the fastest growing sector of Compass Group USA that supports the core business applications that run our procurement business scope.

Job Responsibilities

1. Communicating the value and impact of product initiatives to internal and external audiences (Including senior leadership, customers, manufacturers/suppliers, & regulators).
2. Drive a cohesive strategy and direction for software development teams that are both step-change incremental improvements and long-term scaling progress toward company goals.
3. Develop productive relationships with business leaders and product managers across the organization to influence how applications can enable new sources of value.
4. Lead and maintain the business relevant technology strategy (BRiTS) and technology roadmaps across the FB procurement platforms.
5. Handle relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization. Align and drive collaboration with teams across Compass to build partnerships, operational execution and increase and scale relationships.

Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; generally, requires 15+ years of related experience within a sophisticated organization preferred.
2. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
4. Full-stack development environment, cloud, enterprise application integration and API platform experience.

Professional Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, Food Services, Hospitality Management or related technology field; or A.A. Degree plus four years of directly related experience preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large scale managed service relationships and optimizing run operations cost and services.
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience leading SAFE Agile delivery teams.
4. Minimum 3 years experience managing cost center financials both CAPEX and OPEX.
5. Experience valuating, assessing risk and integrating business acquisitions and related platforms.
6. Building and developing high performing, diverse teams.
7. Experience driving partner collaboration and influencing industry best practices and standards.
8. Experience leading large-scale business and technology transformation. (SAP preferred)
9. Procurement systems and lifecycle.
10. AWS Cloud and Microsoft development cycle.
11. ADO, CICD Pipeline management.
