Leading Denim Apparel Company in New York is seeking a talented Associate Designer to join their dynamic team!
The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated and eager professional looking to apply their vast experience to partner with a Contemporary Denim brand. You will collaborate with the design team to create trend forward denim collections. Must be able to sketch in Illustrator, complete tech packs from start to finish, and take on additional design-related tasks. Will possess expertise in fabric, wash and development. Must be able to effectively time manage in a fast-paced environment. Packaging and Print design a plus. We offer Medical & Dental benefits, generous PTO, and a 401K with profit sharing. Requirements:
- A minimum of 5+ years of denim design experience preferably contemporary denim
- Bachelor’s degree in fashion a plus
- Experience in building tech packs from start to finish
- Highly proficient in Illustrator
- Experience in Photoshop a plus
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Strong communicator
- Collaborative, team-centered approach
- Detailed oriented
- Must have Contemporary denim design experience
- Strong fashion forecasting and trend research
