Job Role: Workshop Plant Engineer
Location: Laurieston, Falkirk

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 base salary (OTE £40,000-£50,000)
Hours: Monday-Friday + Company Vehicle/Fuel Card + Overtime @ 1.5x
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established National plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, established for over 50 years, is looking to onboard & train engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive, or Agricultural background. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relevant internal progression routes.

The Package:
22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)
All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x (£21-£24 per hour)
A minimum of 5 hours of overtime available per week (average availability is 15-20 hours) Min (5 hours): Additional £5,460pa / Average (17 hours): Additional £18,564pa
Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an additional 5 days annual leave per annum
Full training & development with a focus on internal progression, route is as follows: (Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager)

The Requirements:
Previous experience working in the Plant, Automotive, HGV, or Agricultural industry (essential)
Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
Experience working on engines would be advantageous
Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own
Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
Full UK Drivers License

The Responsibilities:
Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.
