Petroplan is recruiting for a Process & Facilities Engineer on behalf of a US-Based LNG company local to Texas. The individual in this role will support the transition of a facility from the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase to full operational readiness, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The position involves developing engineering strategies, monitoring performance, driving improvements, and supporting cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience as a Senior Process Engineer, preferably in LNG or related industries.
- Expertise in conceptual design, economic evaluation, detailed engineering, and plant startup or troubleshooting.
- Hands-on commissioning, startup, and performance testing experience is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of key equipment used in LNG liquefaction facilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software like HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering codes and standards
- Must possess or be eligible for a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and execution of the Operations Readiness (OR) schedule to shift the facility into its operational phase.
- Develop and refine surveillance plans to monitor facility performance. Analyze downtime, troubleshoot process issues, and identify bottlenecks to enhance system availability. Evaluate the operation of field equipment such as piping systems, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and specialized equipment like sulfur recovery, water treatment, and natural gas liquid recovery units.
- Propose initiatives to enhance production, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Coordinate scope development and handoff of projects to relevant teams (e.g., Projects, Maintenance). Assist in the technical evaluation and analysis of changes, supporting other departments in their implementation efforts.
- Provide specialized technical guidance and support the professional development of other engineers through knowledge sharing on engineering principles, performance optimization, and industry tools.
- Contribute to the creation of operational procedures and provide training related to new projects, temporary operations, and compliance standards.
- Utilize process simulations and advanced engineering tools to assess complex facility operations. Design and execute tests aimed at enhancing efficiency and resolving process challenges.
- Prepare preliminary designs, estimates, and schedules for project work. Ensure facility equipment adheres to best practices, industry codes, and operational requirements.
- Lead and participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) using methodologies like What-If and HAZOP. Take part in incident investigations and regulatory audits.
- Work closely with Engineering Supervisors and Managers to define tasks, develop work plans, set budgets, and provide regular updates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and O&M teams, ensuring project alignment with business goals.
- Promote safety and environmental standards through on-site observations and interactions with operations personnel. Ensure operational interests are represented during major projects by working with the Engineering and Construction departments.
