Job Description
As a Test Engineer at ImpactQA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality and performance of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality before they reach our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
- Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
- Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
- Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Install, maintain, or use software testing programs
- Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence, data visualization, and analytics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
- Proven experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience developing complex reports and dashboards
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques, data visualization principles, and business intelligence concepts
- Experience with SQL queries and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) is highly desirable
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and extract actionable insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
