Job Details

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OSIsoft PI Systems Engineer to support and optimize our real-time data infrastructure using the OSIsoft PI System. This role will be instrumental in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting our PI systems to ensure seamless data collection, analysis, and integration across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in OSIsoft PI, data analytics, and industrial systems, along with the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• System Management & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain OSIsoft PI servers, interfaces, data archives, and associated applications to support real-time data acquisition and analysis.
• Data Integration: Integrate PI System with various control systems, including SCADA, PLC, and DCS, to enable data flow from operational systems to enterprise applications.
• Data Visualization & Reporting: Develop and maintain PI data visualization tools such as PI Vision and PI ProcessBook, creating dashboards, reports, and other data visualization solutions to support decision-making.
• Data Integrity & Performance Monitoring: Ensure data accuracy, quality, and reliability by monitoring system performance, performing regular audits, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• User Support & Training: Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, and conduct training sessions to enable effective use of the PI system.
• Project Management: Lead or assist in projects related to system upgrades, data integration, and process optimization, ensuring successful and timely completion.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to comply with internal and external standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience with OSIsoft PI System administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in OSIsoft PI System, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, and PI ProcessBook.
o Familiarity with databases, SQL queries, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar) for data manipulation and reporting.
o Experience with control systems (SCADA, PLCs, DCS) and real-time data environments.

• Other Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented approach to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSIsoft PI Certification or relevant professional training.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, especially in sectors such as oil and gas, utilities, or pharmaceuticals.
• Familiarity with cloud data solutions and integration with enterprise systems.
