Structural Engineer

Job Title: Structural Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

Calculations:

• Perform gravity and lateral calculations for concrete building elements, including:
• Post tensioned slab design.
• Mild reinforced slab design.
• Concrete column design.
• Lateral analysis and shear wall or moment frame design.
• Calculations for miscellaneous minor steel framing such as canopies or elevator support framing.
• Concrete tilt panel wall reinforcing.

Drawings:

• Redline drawings to coordinate with calculations.
• Draw details for specific project conditions.
• The ability to use or willingness to learn to use REVIT for 3D modeling is a plus.
• Project Management and Construction Administration:
• Participate in coordination meetings with the project team.
• Review and respond to RFIs.
• Review shop drawings.
• Provide project site visits when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural concentration preferred)
• AutoCAD, BIM, and Bluebeam experience desired but not required.
• Detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
• Desire and willingness to learn.
