Oracle Database Developer (Cleburne)

We are seeking an Oracle Database Developer role in Austin, TX, for a long-term contract, and it is a Hybrid role.

Candidates must be local, as they will need to be onsite two days a week—one of those days is Tuesday.

The Database Developer / Administrator at this level will

1. Work as part of a Scrum Team
2. Complete user stories, bugs, and technical debt
3. Review, update, and develop PL/SQL, including LRS and other Oracle Spatial operations
4. Integrate PL/SQL code into the Azure DevOps code repository
5. Evaluate user requests for new data elements and new features and provide any necessary technical assistance
6. Perform data modeling, prototyping, and maintain data dictionary, ensuring uniformity of definitions and standards
7. Monitor database performance and recommend efficiency improvements
8. Help resolve database-related security risks and vulnerabilities
9. Assist with required reporting as established by the client

Minimum Yrs of Experience, Skills, and Qualifications: 8+ years

1. Oracle Spatial (dynamic segmentation, LRS, SDO)
2. Oracle PL/SQL
3. Version control systems (Azure DevOps, GIT)
4. SQL Developer (or other like IDEs)
5. Esri ArcSDE (integration with Oracle Spatial)

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Familiarity with

1. Azure DevOps (project management, user stories/bugs/test cases, etc.)
2. Eclipse
3. Agile methodology
