EverCharge is a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging devices and management systems, offering hardware and software EV charging solutions for fleets, multi-unit, and single-family homes. Our turnkey offerings aim to scale EV charging at the lowest cost, utilizing existing infrastructure. EverCharge’s load-balancing SmartPower technology maximizes the number of electric vehicles that can charge simultaneously, removing barriers like data connectivity.
Our Professional Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems and components for EV charging stations, including power distribution, grounding, and protection systems.
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, IEC).
- Lead and manage EV charging infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of EV charging stations.
- Conduct site assessments and inspections for proper installation and functionality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers for integrated solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.
- Assist in developing training materials and programs.
- Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, focusing on EV charging infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience with power distribution, load calculations, and electrical system design.
- Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Experience with renewable energy integration and energy storage systems.
- Knowledge of smart grid technologies and demand response programs.
- Familiarity with software and hardware for EV charging stations.
- Experience with utility interconnection processes and requirements.
