EverCharge is a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging devices and management systems, offering hardware and software EV charging solutions for fleets, multi-unit, and single-family homes. Our turnkey offerings aim to scale EV charging at the lowest cost, utilizing existing infrastructure. EverCharge’s load-balancing SmartPower technology maximizes the number of electric vehicles that can charge simultaneously, removing barriers like data connectivity.

Our Professional Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems and components for EV charging stations, including power distribution, grounding, and protection systems.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, IEC).
  • Lead and manage EV charging infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of EV charging stations.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections for proper installation and functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers for integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.
  • Assist in developing training materials and programs.
  • Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, focusing on EV charging infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with power distribution, load calculations, and electrical system design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with renewable energy integration and energy storage systems.
  • Knowledge of smart grid technologies and demand response programs.
  • Familiarity with software and hardware for EV charging stations.
  • Experience with utility interconnection processes and requirements.
