Zaden’s Business Consulting Services unit is looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our software factory team. As a Level 3 Software Engineer you will work cross-functionally with project managers, data scientists, DevSecOps engineers/analysts and other software engineers to achieve elegant solutions. You will also work closely with other like-minded Software Engineers to design, test, and develop software that meets the needs of our client utilizing different operating systems including Linux and Azure. Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 + 10% Performance Bonus + Benefits
Responsibilities
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions
- Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites
- Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, data scientists, DevOps engineers/analysts and other software engineers to achieve elegant solutions
- Supervise junior software engineers in daily tasks
- May travel up to 40% of the time if not located in Huntsville, AL
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- 4 years of professional software development experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 9 years without
- 2 years of experience designing and architecting software
- Proficient with C++, Go, Python, or Java
- Proficient with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Active Security Clearance or readiness to obtain one
- BSc/MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent technical degree)
- Proficient with version control systems (e.g. Git, Mercurial, Piper)
- Proficient with build automation technologies (e.g. Maven, Gradle)
- Proficient with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Proficient with container technologies (e.g. Docker, Podman, Buildah)
- Proficient with building, running, and monitoring CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient with one of the following: web or mobile application development, microservices applications, or distributed and parallel systems
