Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician (Programmer)

Summary
Our client is looking for a licensed Fire Alarm Tech (Class D) professional responsible for service, programming, and testing these systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Testing : Program, inspect, test, and adjust systems to ensure optimal performance.
2. Repairs and Adjustments : Clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot systems, ensuring timely repairs that reduce emergency service calls and minimize callbacks.
3. System Installation : Assist with the startup of new systems, making necessary adjustments for proper functionality.
4. Safety and Cost Efficiency : Complete all work in a safe manner and within assigned cost limits.
5. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

1. Licensing : Must hold a valid Fire Alarm Technician license in MA. Additional consideration is given to those licensed in both MA and RI.
2. Experience : 5 years prior experience in servicing and installing fire alarm systems.
3. Driver's License : Valid driver's license required.
4. Skills :
   • Strong communication and customer service skills.
   • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow directions with minimal supervision.
   • Flexibility in working hours, including participation in an on-call rotation.

Additional Requirements

1. Pass a comprehensive background check.
2. Report punctually to assigned job sites and adhere to scheduling directives.
3. Maintain, store, and use tools and equipment properly.

Physical Requirements

1. Frequent physical activity, including working on ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various field conditions.
2. Ability to sit at a desk or computer for extended periods when necessary.
3. Must be able to travel to customer locations regularly.
