Overview:
The Stern Area System (SAS) team is looking for an experienced engineer to lead the cabinet development team. The COLUMBIA Class SAS includes a Monitor Cabinet and three Power Cabinets. The VIRGINIA Class SAS includes a Monitor Cabinet and two Power Cabinets. The subassemblies within these cabinets are common across classes but the enclosures are different, creating several cabinet variants. These variants will go through several technology refreshes throughout their lifecycle as well. The selected candidate will lead the design, development, test, qualification and procurement of the SAS cabinets. The SAS cabinet team consists of multiple vendors as well as EB engineers responsible for in-house developed subassemblies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Project management experience
- Vendor management experience
Preferred:
- 5+ years experience
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience with cabinet or component design
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Experience working with NAVSEA
- Experience with creating schedules in Microsoft Project
- Experience with Team Center
