Mechanical Commissioning Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Commissioning Coordinator to join our team in the semiconductor industry. In this role, you will oversee the commissioning of mechanical exhaust systems, focusing on pre-commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and system readiness. The ideal candidate will work closely with trades, construction management teams, and project stakeholders to ensure all systems are fully functional and compliant prior to commissioning. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with deep expertise in mechanical exhaust systems within a semiconductor environment.
Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-commissioning activities, including system walk downs and functional checks of mechanical systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to system performance, design, or installation, ensuring they are resolved before commissioning.
• Collaborate with trades and subcontractors to coordinate the timely closure of identified issues, ensuring systems are ready for final commissioning.
• Conduct detailed inspections and documentation of mechanical systems, including various HVAC systems and chemical exhaust fans, scrubbers, abatements, and ducting.
• Support the development and execution of commissioning plans and schedules.
• Interface with construction management and engineering teams to address and resolve any conflicts or delays impacting project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and client specifications during all commissioning activities.
• Participate in regular project meetings to report on commissioning status, issues, and resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Assist in training and supporting the handover of systems to operations teams upon project completion.

Skills Required:

• 1+ years of experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and system walk downs in a mission critical environment.
• Proven experience working with mechanical systems, including HVAC systems, fans, scrubbers, and ducting.
• Strong ability to identify and resolve issues in complex mechanical systems prior to commissioning.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with trades, engineers, and management teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in semiconductor construction.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
