Maritime environmental company seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to play a crucial role in the testing, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of our proprietary emission control technology. These systems are operational 24/7 when connected to vessels at berth, making reliability and accuracy essential. Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Interviews and trains new staff.
• Oversees the daily workflow of engineering maintenance technicians.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Conduct testing, diagnosis, and repair of emission control systems.
• Perform regular maintenance to ensure system uptime and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and technical issues with industrial equipment.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a configuration management system, including Product
Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Bill of Material (BOM).
• Design components and systems using 3D CAD software (Fusion360, Solidworks/3DX).
• Engage in systems and project engineering for the ongoing development of industrial equipment.
• Develop proficiency in working with 480V power, digital sensors, and PC interface/control systems.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Gain working knowledge of programming associated with CoDeSys and other digital control devices.
• In addition to your primary role, you will be trained and qualified as a System Operator for our proprietary technology
In this capacity, you will:
Manage the operation of the systems, which includes overseeing the barge and its crew
during operation.
o Operate the system per the Operations Manual, including system start-up, warm-up, operation,
and shutdown.
o Monitor system performance and respond promptly to operational issues.
o Ensure safe and efficient operation of the system during 12-hour shifts when needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong mechanical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient in 3D CAD design (Fusion360 and Solidworks/3DX).
• Experience with systems engineering and project engineering, particularly for industrial equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with high-voltage systems (480V) and digital sensors is a plus.
• Aptitude for reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Desire to learn and work with industrial programming languages such as CoDeSys.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a related field.

• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Required Licenses and Credentials:
• Valid driver's license
