As a device engineer in the Product Integration team, you will develop models and generate improved understanding of the XBAR acoustic resonator performance and failure modes. You will work with RF designers, test engineers, technology, and simulation teams to deploy this knowledge in pursuit of high-performance RF filters in mass production. What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • This position is responsible for ensuring reliable, high-power operation of acoustic filters on novel XBAR technology.
  • Build understanding of key acoustic, electrical, and thermal behaviors of XBAR technology; identify performance tradeoffs and mitigation techniques.
  • Develop, use, and maintain internal and commercially available simulation tools for high power circuit operation; leverage empirical data and phenomenological models to set appropriate design rules.
  • Codify best practices in Design for Power and accelerated lifetime testing; share learning with Design and Test teams.
  • Physical failure analysis, large scale data analysis, and root cause analysis of measured samples and customer RMAs.
  • Create experiment and test evaluation plans to support aggressive technology and product development schedules.
  • Contribute to the core understanding of XBAR acoustic device operation and opportunities to improve.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • BS in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or equivalent; MS or PhD preferred.
  • 5+ years experience or 3+ years with PhD.
  • Experience in microwave acoustics, semiconductor and/or MEMs technologies in Design, Process, or Product Engineering role.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Design or device experience in SAW or BAW acoustic filters.
  • Experience with Semiconductor, MEMS, or acoustic filter processing and characterization.
  • Experience with commercial Multiphysics simulations tools: COMSOL, FEMTET, etc.
  • Experience in technology or product development for high volume commercial applications.

Travel

  • Domestic travel between California offices is required.
  • Infrequent International travel is strongly desired.

Other

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $220,000

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance as well as competitive benefits.
