Position Summary:
We're looking for a mobile staff engineer/technical lead to design and build new functionality and user experiences to support the Sam's Tech Member Desk applications. The ideal candidate should be proficient in React Native application development and possess strong project management skills. Experience in Native iOS/Android or Kotlin Multiplatform is highly desirable.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and development of mobile applications using React Native, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Architect mobile solutions to solve large-scale problems, focusing on user experience and operational efficiency.
- Work with your manager, product, operations, and design to plan, execute, and deliver on sprint, quarterly, and project goals.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to provide technical leadership and mentorship to your teammates, other teams, and engineers.
- Translate Figma and wireframes into mobile solutions for iOS and Android operating systems, creating design documents.
- Ensure on-time delivery and collaborate with engineering managers to provide guidance on project implementation plans.
What You'll Bring:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 10+ years of industry experience.
- At least 8 years of experience developing software in an agile team environment.
- Demonstrated experience creating mobile applications using the React Native mobile framework.
- Experience in design, development, coding, testing, and releasing to QA.
- Experience with monitoring mobile app performance, stability, and success rate, leveraging data to improve the same.
- Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews.
- A strong foundation of software design - know-how to create software that's extensible, reusable, and meets desired architectural objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position:
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
- Knowledge in creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
