Must Have:
3+ years of Heart Valve/Class III Medical Device Experience.
5+ years of post-graduation industry experience.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Familiarity with various materials, including metals, polymers, sutures, and tissues.
Investigation and root cause analysis skills.
Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science First Principal.
Strong expertise in heart valve testing including PIV, AWT, Migration, DFM and Hydro testing.
Technical writing knowledge.
Nice to Have:
Familiar with corrosion and wear mechanisms.
Practical knowledge of project management.
Proficiency in materials testing, analysis, and interpretation of results.
Strong understanding of engineering materials properties and structure-property relationships.

As a Senior Engineer at *** SH&A Operating Unit, you'll be at the forefront of innovation in Structural Heart and Aortic. Utilizing Engineering First Principles, you'll design, develop, and analyze heart valves and heart valve delivery systems.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development. Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise. May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials. Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals.
