Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Communicates and listens effectively in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Cooperates with supervisors, co-workers and works as a team.
  • Organized, adaptable, professional and able to follow instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Tools, ie, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Acquire basic working knowledge of company services to assist staff with various functions.
  • Will need knowledge of all SMT equipment with experience programming printers, SPI, pick and place, reflow oven and AOI.
  • Learn and understand programming the above equipment.
  • Learn and understand creating and debugging oven reflow profiles. Understanding the temperatures in both Fahrenheit & Celsius.
  • Learn and understand technical understanding of the functions of machinery both mechanically, electrically and software.
  • Learn and understand troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Learn and understand class 1 - 3 IPC and J-STD.
  • Learn and understand writing pre and post build DFM reports.
  • Learn and understand defect review/root cause analysis with resolution.
  • Learn and understand Selective and Wave solder which includes programming and technical support.
  • Learn and understand to interpret 2D x-ray images as well as 5DX x-ray images. (programming is a plus).
  • Learn and understand label creation programming and understanding of bar-codes.
  • Must be organized and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to work with other Engineers / and all floor Personal.
  • Learn and understand Stencil Design using Gerbers, CAD and any other design tools.
  • Learn and understand with Rework processes. Hot Air, BGA repair, Wash/PCA cleaning and routine solder iron rework.
  • AutoCAD or Solid works experience/knowledge.
  • Able to interpret assembly and fab drawings and the requirement within.
  • Able to work directly with customer's engineering group to improve designs and enhance processes.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates and/or B.A., B.S., Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Prior on-the-job experience of at least 5 plus years in same or similar industry.
  • Demonstrated positive Customer Service demeanor.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong technical background with the understanding of circuit card and box build assemblies.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

Work Environment: The work environment is a clean, quiet and well lit work space.

Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E): Specific items of clothing and/or equipment may be required to perform certain functions and operations as required by Microboard or OSHA policy.
