We are actively seeking Senior Developers experienced in RightAngle, possessing a strong comprehension of the energy and commodity trading industry. In this role, you will apply your blend of business acumen and technical expertise to craft solutions that facilitate the entire trade lifecycle within RightAngle.
Collaborating closely with our esteemed clients, you will play a pivotal role in their exciting journey towards Digital Business Transformation (DBT). To excel in this position, you should possess hands-on experience in developing customizations within the RightAngle tool, coupled with a deep understanding and practical knowledge of extension/interface technologies such as Azure and/or Microservices. A solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming and adherence to the SOLID principles are essential.
Your Impact
A RightAngle Senior Developer plays a significant role by contributing towards a particular module of work by bringing RightAngle (RA) package expertise and relevant business knowledge. You will be responsible for:
- Working with our prestigious clients to understand their business requirements and writing optimized, efficient code to fulfill these requirements.
- Supporting all kinds of testing in the project lifecycle.
- Collaborating with client developers to design, build, test, and deploy the module components and integrate them with the rest of the modules.
- Understanding the design patterns and creating low-level designs or more modules of low to medium-complexity applications leveraging object-oriented principles and design patterns.
- Working in a team and helping junior team members in their work.
- Anticipating issues and risks at the module level and escalating appropriately.
- Providing estimates for a module or functional area.
- Actively managing scope at the module level, and identifying alternatives if required.
Your Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of overall professional experience.
- Good experience working in the implementation of projects with complex system architectures in RightAngle.
- Experience of around 2-4 ‘live’ RightAngle projects with hands-on experience in RA Customizations.
- Ability to design and implement customizations in RightAngle like business rules, custom reports, contract confirmations, invoices, reference data maintenance screens, batch jobs, etc.
- Experience in writing optimized SQL queries involving multiple tables, self-joins, inner and outer joins, inner queries, groups by functions, etc.
- Understand and use OO design principles to create modular, extensible, and reusable code.
- Fair understanding of the ETRM/CTRM domain with experience in at least one asset class, e.g., crude, refined products, Power, Natural Gas, and/or LNG.
- Understanding of the data model of RightAngle and awareness of key tables and columns.
- Clear understanding of configurations needed to support front, mid, and back-office processes.
- Understanding of data flows in the deal life cycle.
- Ability to train/mentor junior developers.
