Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Platform Engineer to fill an open position with one of our clients. The candidate will be responsible for research and development of a Data Retention Application within the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) team by leveraging industry and big data platform tools. As an expert-level professional, the candidate will provide leadership on complex Cloud Engineering assignments, implementing the organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective. They will be responsible for designing, documenting, developing, deploying, and maintaining processes using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), while ensuring adherence to existing strategic direction and architectural strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Research and development of a Data Retention Application within the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) team.
• Providing expert content/professional leadership on complex Cloud Engineering assignments.
• Implementing organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective.
• Designing and building scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Developing AWS cloud platform using various AWS services and resources.
• Developing infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.

The Ideal Candidate

The qualifications and skills required include:

• Strong experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications in a distributed environment and cloud (AWS).
• Proficiency in AWS cloud platform development.
• Experience with application observability patterns, site reliability practices, and developing complex applications with relational database systems (RDBMS).
• Strong automation background with emphasis on CI/CD and TDD.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, SQL.
• Familiarity with various AWS services and tools such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, etc.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools.
