Civil/Structural Designer
Location: Covington, La
Duration: 6 mo contract to hire
Salary: $55/hr (flexible based off of experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Must-Haves:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 8+ years related structural design experience required
- Civil 3D experience, ability to teach others on the team best practices as well
- Computer Aided 3D Modeling on assigned projects utilizing AutoCAD
- Capable of generating different types of "scaled" and "non-scaled" drawings
- Printing, plotting & filling of drawings
- Complete high paced assignments through effective prioritization, scheduling, planning and executions of assigned work
- Communicate effectively with a wide diversity of personnel with varying technical backgrounds including engineers, designers, vendors, and management
Day-to-Day:
A large client in Covington is looking for a Senior Civil Designer that is capable of performing design work as assigned and mentored by a Lead Project Designer or Drafting Manager. Designers are required to have a working knowledge of the components they are designing and are capable of generating detailed drawings within their assigned disciplines. Designers will also delegate work to drafters on assigned projects. They are seeking a designer who has Civil 3D experience - this is a hard requirement to be successful in this role.
