Our firm is currently seeking an experienced Software Developer for this role of Senior Consultant, Data Engineer .

Responsibilities

The ideal applicant is a strong leader with exceptional communication skills who thrives in a highly collaborative workplace. This person will actively engage with fellow team members to drive project and customer success. Candidate must demonstrate strong skills in the areas of personal ownership and accountability, technical expertise, team building, organization, prioritization, problem solving, and written and oral communication.

Responsibilities Include:

  • DESIGNING & DEVELOPING SOLUTIONS: Apply your skills to the design, development, and testing of data systems and solutions, often in a team environment.
  • ITERATIVE, AGILE WORKFLOWS: Solid understanding and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Provide support to Product Owner throughout the agile development process.
  • TEAM COLLABORATION: Collaborate with other team members and clients to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new data systems, software, or related solutions. Demonstrate teamwork and problem solving.
  • OTHER: Working on small teams for a diverse array of client projects, all employees have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and contribute to a variety of firm-building activities adjacent to or stretching beyond their specific position responsibilities.
Required Criteria:
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have 7 or more years of related technical experience.
  • Must have experience in SQL, database design and modeling, ETL pipelines.
  • Must have experience in development, IDEs, and DevOps; with programming languages such .NET, C#, or Python.
  • Experience building and working in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player who is willing and able to dive in with the team to get a project done when needed.
  • Must be a driven self-starter, a positive thinker, and demonstrate high integrity.
  • High degree of autonomy with the capability of working remotely when necessary. Potential to grow in responsibility as the company grows.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical degree
  • Experience working with cloud data tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Experience with SQL Server Database administration and management
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience with AI/ML and data science tools and models
  • Experience working with JIRA/Atlassian software or similar software
